(sept. 11 - Oct. 30, 2023)

An 8-week therapeutic group centering nature-based mindfulness practices for folks seeking calm, presence, & resilience available through (re)connecting with nature. Meets Monday evenings, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m., at the Campbell Pollinator Meadows & River Park in Buies Creek, NC.

Week 1: Group introduction and nature-based wellness psychoeducation, including how ‘reconnecting’ with nature is a misnomer, with first set of nature-based mindfulness practices

Week 2: Exploration of our relationship with and as a part of nature with second set of nature-based mindfulness practices

Week 3: Continued exploration of our relationship with and as a part of nature with third set of nature-based mindfulness practices

Week 4: Addressing personal & systemic barriers to nature-based wellness with fourth set of nature-based mindfulness practices

Week 5: Creating personalized nature-based self-care routine

Week 6: Practicing personalized nature-based self-care routine

Week 7: Adapting personalized nature-based self-care routine

Week 8: Group closure with review of new self-care routine and options for ongoing nature-based wellness practices

During individual intake session, a nature connectedness assessment will be conducted informing personalization and adaptation of experience. Please note indoor restrooms are not available on site, with closest public restroom a 5-minute drive from the park and an outhouse located at one edge of the park. Open to ages 18+ with group size limit of 10 participants.

A 6-week therapeutic group centering nature-based mindfulness practices for folks seeking calm, presence, & resilience available through (re)connecting with nature. Meets Fridays at noon at the Campbell Pollinator Meadows & River Park in Buies Creek, NC.

Week 1: Group introduction and nature-based wellness psychoeducation with first set of nature-based mindfulness practices

Week 2: Exploration of our relationship with and as a part of nature with second set of nature-based mindfulness practices

Week 3: Continued exploration of our relationship with and as a part of nature with third set of nature-based mindfulness practices

Women’s empower lunch virtual group

(march 6 - April 10, 2023)

A 6-week virtual therapeutic group focused on wellness for women & non-binary adults seeking supportive community. Meets online Mondays at 1pm. Open to women & non-binary adults in North Carolina with group size limit of 10 participants.

Week 1: Group Introduction - Orienting to group & establishing community commitments

Week 2: Stress Management - Maximizing joy through healthy stress management strategies

Week 3: Healthy Boundaries - Setting them and sustaining them

Week 4: “No” Muscle Exercise - Saying no to clarify your yes’s

Week 5: Self-Care - Creating a personalized self-care routine

Week 6: Group Closure - Reviewing new self-care routine and celebrating group achievements
